Keep in mind this morning there are no trains running at the Embarcadero Bart station in San Francisco. From now until the 7th, the transbay tube is shut down. That means no bart service between San Francisco and oakland. Buses will run instead while crews finish up track work between the west oakland station and the tube. We are doing the single largest track replacement in our 40year history. It needs to be replaced. On tuesday what were hoping for is a smoother, quieter and safer right through the transbay tube.
