You’re not exactly touching the sky – but sometimes you’re far up enough that the clouds will touch you. On occasion you’re even above them. Literally, there are truly soaring places next to the sands that jut up higher than you can imagine.

Some Oregon Coast State Park Group Facilities Now Reservable Published 04/14/21 at 7:55 PM PDT By Oregon Coast Beach Connection staff (Oregon Coast) – Oregon State Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD) have opened up some group camping and reservable day-use areas to reservations after being shut down for a lengthy amount of time. This includes numerous spots on the Oregon coast. Reservations will be accepted for these starting April 15 for stays beginning May 1 and beyond that date. Those will begin at 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. on April 15, depending on the state park. (Above: Newport s Beverly Beach State Park) Not all such facilities have reopened yet.

Oregon Park Reservations are Open April 15, 2021 Reservations for day-use areas in certain state parks will open April 15 between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. Stays at these parks begin on May 1.   Group size for permits is limited to 25 people in each open area. Typically, visitor limits are set at 50 – 200 people, but COVID restrictions will be in place.  To find out more, or see brochures for the parks in the Oregon State system, visit their website.    Coast Group Facility reservations

Elijah Bristow State Park: three group day-use areas Fall Creek State Recreation Site: Fisherman’s Point group camp area Jasper State Recreation Site: four group day-use areas Lowell State Recreation Site: day-use picnic shelter area Jessie Honeyman State Park: group camping areas A and F, and hiker and bicycler areas (first-come, first-serve) Carl Washburne State Park: hiker and bicycler camp (first-come, first-serve) “Although we can’t open all group areas in all parks and the lower group limits isn’t what we are used to, we ask for your patience as we move forward,” said Jason Resch, communications manager for the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department.
