Alicia Marie Bellmore (Blue), 46 of Mt. Pleasant passed away on Sunday, April 11 after an 18 month battle with Lymphoma. Alicia was preceded in death by her mother in law Barbara (Pashley) Bellmore, and stepmother in law Cindy (Kirchoff) Bellmore. She is survived by her adoring husband of 22 years, Eric Bellmore and their beautiful daughter Morgan. She is also survived by her brother Jeremy Blue and his partner Carie Bohy and Carrie’s son Thomas Bohy, parents Jerry and Mary Ann Blue, brother and sister-in-law Corey and Nikki (Bellmore) Brooker, brother and sister-in-law Duane and Myschell Stangle, brother and sister-in-law Casey and Nancy Stangle and numerous nieces and nephews.

KENT COUNTY, Mich. In December, about ten Michigan animal shelters and the Bissell Pet Foundation planned a trip to Arkansas to rescue as many dogs as they could from a humane society struggling to keep up with the amount of animals they were taking in. They just don’t have the resources to care for the number of animals they’re getting in there, and even while we were there, dogs were still being dropped off as we were trying to pull them out of there, said Angela Miedema who was representing Humane Animal Treatment Society in Mt. Pleasant.
