KINGSTON, N.Y. â The Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union has given $31,000 in charitable giving to area non-profits through its Season of Giving. Â
The credit union launched its Season of Giving event in early December. Throughout the month, the credit union worked behind the scenes to connect with 31 Hudson Valley non-profits, surprising them with $1,000 each to use as they needed, according to a press release. Recipients were also given the opportunity to talk about their work, recordings of which will be shared via the credit union s social media.Â
In addition to its charitable giving, the credit union also held a contest for the community in which it gave away four cash prizes to help spread the word about the Season of Giving.Â
