new hampshire and south carolina and that could effectively end the race early. on the other hand, even though iowa has voted against the front run runner in the past three races, that s a point of optimism for the candidates chasing trump. the alternative that iowa republicans have chosen has been unable to build a coalition of broad and deep enough to actually win the nomination. last three iowa winners lost. huckabee in 08, cruz in 16. you can see a pathway for someone to beat trump in iowa. the path is there. i felt that way from talking to voters in the state last week. the question would be whether the alternative that emerges from iowa would have a broader field than huckabees that are too depend on on one group of voters to complete the nomination. in another recent poll among trump voters, they say they trust the former president to
trump watch, monday, february 6th, 2017. the president now entering his third week is facing a battle on two sides. one from outside, the other from inside the white house. the outside fight is with the court system. it may not sell with him that america s judges decide what is constitutional but they do. it s called judicial review and goes back to the days of chief justice marshall. governor huckabee can say the secular branch has been but even a president facing removal, richard nixon, knew he had no choice in such matter. governor huckabee can say once the court says something, that s it, but it is it. the man in the white house is not getting the right advice if he listens to voices like huckabees. we don t know how the ninth court of appeals will rule but

majority of caucus-goers. for cruz to dominate those folks, that s how he wins. a loss would be if the santorums and huckabees pick off the evangelical votes. and rubio? it s about the establishment rallying to his cause. and for the republican establishment to say, we don t want donald trump, we don t want ted cruz. rubio is our guy. for all the republican elected officials at the federal level and the state level to come to his support, start raising money for him to help him out. but as of now, kate, that hasn t happened. there s going to be so much volatility in the next four weeks in iowa, and five weeks into new hampshire, but those are the three things i m going to be watching for. we have 28 days, right? four weeks from today, right? it s going to go really fast. it always does. mark murray, thanks so much. with all eyes on trump, the
jeb bush is d.o.a., in the 3% club with the rest of the huckabees and fiorinas and everybody else. chris christie has shown a pulse in new hampshire which is interesting, but chris christie hasn t polled above 5% nationally since may and he s put all of his eggs in new hampshire. he s known there because he s nearby. i don t think that his act is going to play very well in south carolina. i think iowa is the key more. ted cruz has a legitimate shot of beating trump in iowa, which changes the way that we talk about this election for a moment and basically polls, national polls in primary elections usually don t matter until after thanksgiving so all of this noise so far has been really entertaining, we ve all been watching it but we don t know what it means until right about now and i think ted cruz could change that which the establishment is going to love because he s seen as anti-establishment as well. bob, does cruz maintain a momentum and keep growing because he s right, polls be
