According to the report, Apple topped the charts in terms of market share with a 33.5 per cent market share. It recorded a 50 per cent YoY increase in the demand for the new Series 6 models. It was followed by Huawei with an 8.4 per cent market share. However, Huawei continued to lose share compared to a strong quarter a year ago.

Counterpoint s Global Smartwatch Model Trackershowed that Apple s newest Series 6 models were responsible for this performance, with the company seeing its market share climb by three points as a result. Samsung s shipments increased by 27% year-on-year due to the popularity of the Galaxy Watch 3 and the Galaxy Watch Active series. However, this growth was below the overall market level and meant a small dip in its market share.
