10:00 | Lima, Mar. 14. The second and last Sunday under mandatory social immobility will be in force today in all those provinces under extreme risk level due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This current curfew began on Saturday night at 9:00 p.m. and will run thru 4:00 a.m. Monday.
As is known, the provinces under extreme risk are: Huaraz (Ancash region); Huamanga (Ayacucho region); Canchis (Cusco region); Huancavelica and Tayacaja (Huancavelica region); Huanuco (Huanuco region); Ica and Chincha (Ica region).
The list also includes Huancayo, Tarma, Chanchamayo, Satipo and Chupaca (Junin region); Callao (Callao region); Metropolitan Lima, Huaura, Barranca, Huarochiri and Huaral (Lima region); Maynas (Loreto region); Ilo (Moquegua region); Oxapampa (Pasco region); Puno (Puno region); and Tacna (Tacna region).

Prime Minister Violeta Bermudez on Wednesday confirmed that the Peruvian Government established a new nighttime curfew for the provinces under extreme risk due to COVID-19, which will run from 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. the next day. It also includes mandatory social immobility on Sundays.
During a press conference, the high-ranking official stressed that a slight slowdown is registered in the contagion rate, as well as in the number of related deaths. In order to be clear, there is no longer a quarantine for 14 days. However, there is mandatory social immobility, also known as curfew, which runs from 9 at night to 4 in the morning, and strict social immobility on Sundays, Bermudez expressed.
