BHUBANESWAR: The state government on Tuesday asked the Centre to allocate 30,000 oxygen cylinders, five cryogenic oxygen tanks, 30,000 oxygen faces masks and 100 ventilators, among others from the foreign aid that it has received.
In a letter addressed to Union health secretary Rajesh Bhushan, Odisha additional chief secretary (health) Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra also sought 1000 para monitors, five lakh N95 masks, two lakh PPE kits and 10 lakh gloves.
“NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant on Monday had chaired a meeting of chief secretaries and health secretaries on the liberalised policy on international assistance during Covid-19. During the meeting, the Aayog had informed about the materials donated by various countries. The state has asked for them accordingly,” a government official said.
