Man Accosting Strangers Is Shot Dead by Armed Citizen in Washington State
A shooting that took place in Washington state last week involved a person pulling a gun and firing on a man harassing strangers, authorities said.
Police officers in Everett responded on May 11 to a report of an assault with a weapon and found an adult male had been shot. The man, who has not been named, in his early 30s, was rushed to a hospital but was soon pronounced dead.
Initial reports indicate the man was walking his dog when he started shouting and acting aggressively towards people walking on sidewalks around Silver Lake, including a grandmother and her young granddaughter.

Witnesses of the shooting say the man who was shot had been chasing families with weapons and striking others before a bystander pulled a gun shooting him twice. It’s kind of unheard of, said Howard Rohdy who witnessed some of Tuesday’s incidents. A friend of his snapped images of him confronting the man who police say had become aggressive with people walking on the sidewalk – including a woman and her grandchild.

A man who was shot while walking his dog Tuesday evening at Silver Lake has died following confrontations with others in the area during disputes that he appears to have initiated, authorities said Wednesday.
Investigators have not publicly identified the man, who was in his early 30s and who was pronounced dead after being rushed to a local hospital for medical treatment, Everett police said in a written statement.
