Could groom myself, me and my wife could groom ourselves in the mirror or anything. The bed bugs is a very, very serious issue. [speaker not understood] all on my back from that right there. My doctor is giving me soap, extra soap and medication soap about this program i mean about this issue right here. He said, why dont you leave . I said, well, its really, you know, like i said, i could leave out of here, but ive been there all this time and i got not really comfortable with it, but im waiting for this here because its going to be a change up in here. Im sorry, sir. Your time is up. Thank you. Okay, thank you. Any more Public Comment . Three minutes, sir. Good morning. My name is arthur [speaker not understood]. I would like to address the committee today in regards to a major issue, no heat in the building, okay. My room is so cold at night its like sleeping in an ice box, okay. I shiver at night. It is so cold i cant even sleep at night sometimes. And every time i approach the man
Right now. Well, one of the goals because we had the open positions and because they were approved and that we would try to get rid of some of the prop f position and they were kind of a stopgap i think that we used to fill in 2012. And also because Human Resources was a little behind on their lists and so if those things have been taken care of, you know, if the Human Resources, especially on the you know, the clerical lift and things like that and they are up to date from the testing and you have a list to work from, i dont see why we should not hire the permanent positions, because, what we heard, from the budget director was also that, we are not filling some positions for the office space problems, but prop f people take the office space too, so if we have the approval for the permanence, and we have, and it is in the budget, why would we not try to fill those positions . Yeah, actually. You know, get rid of the prop f positions. Yeah, the electrical and the inspector and we get s
And abaited and the complaints of notice of violations was 51 and the second notice of violations was code of enforcement was 17. I will have rose mary speak on behalf of the housing and the Code Enforcement. Thank you. Good morning, commissioners. As you can see from the chart that we or the Housing Division we keep monthly statistics that include what we have performed, 908 inspections and 338 new complaints coming in. And we have responded to just about almost all of those with the exception of 12 within in three days and some of these are anonymous complaints that require us to try to gain access and we cant get access to some of those, units and accounts for some of the ones that and sometimes, there is delayed entry. And as you can see, that we have got the numbers there, we continued to work on our open cases, to try to get them closed. And later on, this morning, when you have some of the bigger cases in front of you, you will see our efforts trying to get the cases closed and
Off and we will deal with other projects. And the types are major and larger. Yeah, especially in the Housing Project in town, a number of cranes, you know, right now it looks like 47 and right now. And so a lot of these projects and the Hunters Point would be a lot of those projects are getting funding now and they are starting to see which were approved almost a couple of years ago and starting to see the movement. Yeah. That is good. All right. It is good to see. Okay. Any other questions . I have a quick question. If there is so much building going on and i know that one of the things that we wanted to do was make sure that we staffed up and the money is there in the public. And so i know that we had to slow down a little bit because of the office space, but could you give us a break down of where if there is a particular department or division that is short right now . Or how, or where are the open positions unfilled in the department. There are some, plan and checked that we can
Supervisors offices collectively and even the Small Business groups and commissioner that is active out there, and of course, we in dbi and out reach and try to make people aware of this. But, at some point, we would issue a notice of violation after 30 days if they dont register as a vacant storefront just as we do with a vacant building. However, the second notice of violation would not be issued until 270 days after to give them ample opportunity to actually lease the property or make improvements taking Building Permits and so forth, and that would take it off of that list at any rate. But the director, has a lot of concerns about identifying all of these and even more importantly, i think, one of these incentives are sufficient to have releasing take place by the owner. But, at any rate, we are involved in it and i expect it and the legislation will move forward relatively. And the final one that i am going to mention today has to do with the media briefing, supervisor chiu had ye
