We are hearing from supervisor yee and mandelman that they are opposed to layoffs but open to putting money in the second year on reserve. Excuse me, you are on mute. I am definitely open to putting 7 million on reserve for the second year. Again, it is hard for me at this point. Not an impossibility without knowing the officers it is an issue now. What you are hearing there is an appetite to put money the second year on reserve, not for layoffs. Chief, what you have heard now is that what we are saying is that we are thinking a substantial amount of money on reserve the second year. This committee is opposed to the layoffs. Good afternoon, everybody. Im cherie miller. Im located in district 5, and also, i am an originating member of the African American art and cultural district in district 10. The San Francisco board of supervisors historic use of laws and policies have targeted and harmed the African American community intentionally and the eventually, and its the cause of Police Brutality and the loss of black lives, and our health and wellness in our community. Defund sfpd. The Police Department has not used the public funding for all of the public good. Greater funding should be directed more intentionally to Community Programs and spaces to strengthen us. Our hoist machine is located overhead, and this is a traction machine, so it is an evolution beyond the winding from elevator. This is the drive ship. This is the gear box, and this is original from 1913. It is a heavyduty design that we really do not see any more today.
