Publication scheme - Traffic Commissioners for Great Britain

Traffic commissioner’s publication scheme The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requires public authorities to adopt and maintain a publication scheme. Whilst each traffic commissioner is an independent office holder and data controller under the FOI Act, they will be treated as parties in common for the purposes of this publication scheme. The purpose of this publication scheme is to: specify the classes of information traffic commissioners have committed to publish say how traffic commissioners will make that information available say whether the information is available free of charge or on payment Most of the information covered by the publication scheme will be made available on the traffic commissioners’ pages on the GOV.UK website. If information is required in an alternative format, all reasonable steps will be taken to assist.

To meet those ambitions, we must ensure that policy and advice on equality is evidence-based, and is delivered in a way that means we can respond quickly to new insights. Earlier this year, the Government Equalities Office commissioned the Behavioural Insights Team for a summary of the evidence on unconscious bias and diversity training. Titled ‘Unconscious bias and diversity training - what the evidence says’, the report highlights that ‘there is currently no evidence that this training changes behaviour in the long term or improves workplace equality in terms of representation of women, ethnic minorities or other minority groups’.
