out of that building and with the mayor of miami-dade county who oversees the first responders here. as we come on the air with you live from washington, sam brock is on the scene in surf side. sam, we just got an update from mrnl officials. we know some of the numbers of people rescued, 35 of them, right? we know the numbers of people in the hospital, too. what we don t know right now are how many people are still missing as officials are directing folks who have family in that building to call this hotline number to let them know. that s exactly right, hallie. there were 55 units that chapsed. now, it s florida. certainly some people are down here, but the reality is when we interviewed the surf side mayor, there are plenty of people in there. how many bedrooms were occupied we don t know.

Suicide prevention resources for minorities and diverse populations are not always as readily accessible as desired. While the resources do exist we all need to do a better job of helping fellow community members utilize the appropriate resources that will best fit their needs.

JOHANNESBURG - Almost 1,600 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded, taking the total number of cases to over 1,5 million.
Sadly, 75 more people died, pushing the death toll to 53,498.
The recovery rate is at 95 percent with just over 21,000 active cases.
The Johnson & Johnson vaccine trial is still on hold, but the country is expected to begin receiving the Pfizer jabs in May.
