You might not be familiar with memorial glade, which is right here, and this is where the memorial is going to take place at 8 00 tonight. Take a look at video right now from isla vista last friday night and why there is a need for this event. Interesting, a uc berkeley graduate student, who did her undergraduate work at Uc Santa Barbara put this together. She happened to be near isla vista when the killings took place on friday night and on facebook she noticed that other uc campuses were doing memorials and she decided there needed to be a memorial at uc berkeley. Because there are a lot of alumni and because there are people here that know people at ucsb, it was important for them to have a place to come and grieve over the people who died and support each other and ucsb.
