JAKARTA - Komisi Perlindungan Anak Indonesia (KPAI) bersyukur anak usia 12-17 tahun kini sudah bisa mendapatkan vaksinasi Covid-19. Hal tersebut sangat penting mengingat saat ini kasus terkonfirmasi positif meningkat tajam. Kita bersyukur, kekhawatiran ini menyebabkan berbagai pihak bekerjasama dalam mengantisipasinya, ucap Komisioner KPAI, Jasra Putra melalui keterangan tertulis kepada MNC, Selasa (29/6/2021).
Menurut Jasra, penyediaan vaksinasi untuk anak adalah wujud upaya optimal negara dalam memenuhi hak kesehatan sebagaimana termaktub dalam butir (1) Pasal 44 Undang-undang Nomor 35 Tahun 2014 tentang Perlindungan Anak.
Adapun bunyi butir (1) Pasal 44 UU Perlindungan Anak yakni, Pemerintah dan Pemerintah Daerah wajib menyediakan fasilitas dan menyelenggarakan upaya kesehatan yang komprehensif bagi Anak agar setiap Anak memperoleh derajat kesehatan yang optimal sejak dalam kandungan.
