His career included stints with Charlie Ventura, Stan Kenton, Ella Fitzgerald, and Peggy Lee. After a stint with the Billy May Orchestra, Geller went on to jam and record with Chet Baker, Miles Davis, Stan Getz, and dozens more. In 1955, he was named Downbeat Magazine’s “New Star,” and received worldwide acclaim for his work with Clifford Brown.
