The developer remaking Horton Plaza mall into a mixed-use office campus is moving forward with plans to erect two, 420-foot-tall residential skyscrapers on the 10-acre property between First Avenue and Fourth Avenue in the heart of downtown San Diego.
The event next week will celebrate the history of the Old Spanish Trail Highway and Col. Ed Fletcher's efforts to bring the transcontinental road to San Diego.

The Campus at Horton is nearing a turning point in its conversion from a historic downtown mall into a mixed-use office campus with initial retail tenants, including grocer Sprouts Farmers Market, set to move in and start building out their individual storefronts later this year.
