For the fifth consecutive game, the Hoptown Hoppers found themselves in an early hole, but one big inning pulled them out and away from the visiting Henderson Flash.

Overcoming a three-run deficit with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, the Hoppers couldnât take advantage of a bases-loaded situation and fell 7-4 in 12 innings to the Franklin Duelers at Colonel Field.
For the fourth time in as many games, the Hoppers found themselves in an early hole.
Franklinâs Jacob Curtis took a Grant Golomb pitch over the left field wall to open the scoring in the third.
After the Duelers tacked on another in the fourth, Curtis struck again in the fifth with a leadoff bomb to put Hoptown in a 3-0 hole.

The Hoptown Hoppers were down 3-0 with two outs in the bottom of the ninth before rallying to tie the Franklin Duelers at 3-3, then fell 7-3 in 12 innings last night at Colonel Field. A double by Zayd Brannigan and a single by JoJo Cruz sent the game to extra innings. The Hoppers were held to just six hits with Brannigan getting two of them. Bracken Rice took the pitching loss for the Hoppers, now 2-2 on the season. Hoptown welcomes Henderson for a 6:30 game tonight, with pregame at 6:15 on News Radio 95.3 FM/1230 AM WHOP and whopam.com.

The Hoptown Hoppers opened the 2021 Ohio Valley League season with a 7-3 loss to the league’s new team Full Count Rhythm.
