The Hoptown Hoppers had one rally in them on Tuesday, but a second one just wasnât in the cards.
Overcoming a three-run deficit with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, the Hoppers couldnât take advantage of a bases-loaded situation and fell 7-4 in 12 innings to the Franklin Duelers at Colonel Field.
For the fourth time in as many games, the Hoppers found themselves in an early hole.
Franklinâs Jacob Curtis took a Grant Golomb pitch over the left field wall to open the scoring in the third.
After the Duelers tacked on another in the fourth, Curtis struck again in the fifth with a leadoff bomb to put Hoptown in a 3-0 hole.
