저도 제가 그럴 줄은 몰랐습니다. 발레 콩쿠르엘 나가다니요. 이 나이에, 이 몸으로 무대에 선다니. 관객은 물론 심사위원들에게도 못 할 짓 아닐까 싶었죠. 하지만 최근 어느 토요일, 자정이 가까운 시간 저는 무대 위에 있었습니다. 물론 마음만 발레리나이고 몸은 누가 봐도 ‘취발리나’죠. 네, 취미발레인이요. 직업병인 어깨 통증에 괴로워하던 퇴근길 우연히 마주친 발레학원을 다닌 지 벌써 10년째. 발레에만큼은 누구보다 진심인 원장님의 엄격한 지도 덕에 실은 이번이 콩쿠르 첫 도전은 아니었습니다. 무대에 서는 건 약 80초. 다리를 조금이라도 더 들어보려고 나름 짬짬이, 때론 새벽까지 낑낑댔건만 몸은 정직합니다. 나름 영혼까지 끌어모아 아티튀드를 했다고 생각했는데 사진을 보니 에계계, 찔끔
