Officer being medivacked to Temple University hospital with severe burns on his back. Got a bad burn on the back. But hes conscious much hes talking. Um, hes actually joking with us but hes very lucky to be alive. Reporter chief mcclay said the corporal was working in plain clothes in doylestown as part of a county narcotics operation when a suspect tried to deliver drugs near the doylestown train station. And recognized the nine year police veteran. He ran through the narcotics on tom of the train. Officer chased him for pretty good distance. Apprehended him. Reporter police say when corporal pitcher return to the doylestown train station, to retrieve the drugs the suspect had tossed on top of the train, he climbed on top apparently he thought the electric was off. Apparently the electric wasnt off. The transformer pulled him in which severely burned his back. Were all relieved. Dave, Police Rushed to the hospital today praying they wouldnt be mourning another brother in blue. In fact, several told me they were preparing for the worst but fortunately tonight the Corporal Michael pitcher is in Good Condition recovering from first and Second Degree burns to his back. Thank god hes okay.
