Tonye Princewill revalidates APC membership, urges others to do same

Daily Post Nigeria Published A former governorship aspirant and Nigerian film producer, Tonye Princewill has revalidated his membership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in his ancestral home, Buguma, in Rivers State. The Prince of Kalabari Kingdom who participated in the exercise on Wednesday urged members of the party who were yet to revalidate their membership to endeavour to do so. While addressing party members shortly after the exercise, the Prince who was received by a large crowd at the venue, expressed optimism that the party would bounce back in the state. “Our dear party, in the state has been through trying times in recent years, but I’m thankful for the recent victory at the Supreme Court and the opportunity to heal our wounds, strengthen our bonds and move ahead as one unifying force for good governance and social transformation.

Hundreds of APC, APGA women defect to PDP, laud Ikpeazu

Daily Post Nigeria Published About 700 women from the All Progressive Congress, APC, and the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Ndume Ibeku, Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State, Thursday, defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. The defected women were led into the ruling PDP in the state by former Umuahia East constituency APC Woman Leader, Lady Charity Ekeleme. Speaking on behalf of the decampees at Ohokobe Mbaocha Square, venue of the declaration ceremony, Lady Ekeleme said that APC has derailed in the service of humanity and the nation. Ekeleme said that the progressive party has failed to address teething challenges bedeviling the country and lamented the current insecurity in the land and the nation’s economic downturn, occasioned by the incompetence of the APC government at all levels in Nigeria.

Abia Speaker Mourns Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu – Igbere TV

Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji has described the death of Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu (Rtd) as “a huge loss to Abia State in particular and Nigeria in general”, Igbere TV reports. The Abia Speaker lamented that Admiral Kanu departed at a time his wealth of experience and counsel as an accomplished soldier and a seasoned administrator were needed most in both Abia State and Nigeria.     He prayed God to grant his gentle soul eternal rest and avail the family he left behind and all Nigerians, the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
