Meeting of ministers underway over COVID-19 situation in Andhra ANI | Updated: May 12, 2021 14:33 IST Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], May 12 (ANI): A meeting of a group of ministers of the Andhra Pradesh cabinet is currently underway to discuss the ongoing COVID-19 situation in the state. Participants of the meeting include Deputy Chief Minister (Health) Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas, Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharitha, Minister for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Botcha Satyanarayana, Agriculture Minister Kurasala Kannababu and senior officials of the medical and health departments. Issues pertaining to the rising cases, oxygen supply, hospital beds, and vaccination are being discussed. Andhra Pradesh s health infrastructure, much like that of the rest of the country, has been reeling under the pressure of the rising COVID-19 cases.

Committee of Ministers To Monitor AP Covid Command And Control Centre Apr 21, 2021, 16:00 IST AMARAVATI: The Andhra Pradesh Government has revived the State Command and Control Centre for Covid-19 Management and Vaccination to handle the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic. As part of this, the Government on Tuesday constituted a Committee with a group of State Ministers to monitor the functioning of the Control Centre. The Committee comprises Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas (Nani) who is the convene, along with Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharitha, Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Botsa Satyanarayana, Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy and Agriculture Minister K Kanna Babu as its members.

Andhra CM Jagan Launches AP Amul Project In Guntur

Apr 16, 2021, 17:08 IST Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the project was started with an MoU signed between Amul and the state government on July 21 to give a fillip to the empowerment of women self help groups by encouraging the milk cooperatives in the government sector. The AP Amul Palavelluva  Projet was started on December 2 and milk has been being collected in 400 villages in Chittoor, YSR Kadapa and Prakasam districts. He said the AP Amul Project will start in Guntur and milk will be collected from 129 villages in the district and also in174 villages in Chittoor district from today.

CM Jagan Recommends Retired High Court Judge M Seetharama Murti For APHRC Chairperson Mar 17, 2021, 16:38 IST AMARAVATI: The State Human Rights Committee chaired by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has recommended the name of retired High Court Judge Justice M Seetharama Murti as the chairperson and Retired District Judge Dande Subramanyam (Judicial) and Advocate Dr G Srinivasa Rao (Non-Judicial) as the members of the Human Rights Commission. The State Human Rights Committee, on Wednesday held a meeting at the Secretariat to finalize the names, to recommend as chairperson and members of Andhra Pradesh State Human Rights Commission. Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharitha proposed the names and the selection committee approved of it. The committee members Legislative Council Chairman MA Sharif, Legislative Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram along with Home Minister Mekathoti Sucharitha and Chief Secretary Aditya Nath Das were present in the meeting.
