Virtual AgingWell to be held Tuesday
The AgingWell Series will be presented from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday via Zoom. The series is sponsored by the Wake Forest Baptist Health, Sticht Center for Healthy Aging and Alzheimerâs Prevention.
The program will be âHow to Beat the Pain of Agingâ and will be led by Dr. Amber Brooks, an associate professor of pain management at Wake Forest Baptist Health.

Senior Servicesâ Meals-on-Wheels program is an excellent opportunity for volunteers to not only provide a nutritious meal, but also to form friendships, share warm smiles, and provide a safety check for older adults, many of whom are living alone and having trouble preparing meals during the day.
Just about one year ago, the Meals-on Wheels program, which prided itself on providing hot lunch-time meals to senior participants in the program each weekday, shifted its Meals-on-Wheels delivery process to delivering five frozen meals, once per week in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 and keep participants and volunteers as safe as possible. As the number of COVID-19 cases decrease and the number of people vaccinated increase in our community, Senior Services plans to resume hot, daily meal delivery on Monday, May 3rd. That goal can only be reached with the support of community volunteers
New Royal Mail research has revealed that 7% of the UK s named homes sport a festive-linked moniker - with a number of them located in Northern Ireland.
Detailed analysis of the Royal Mail postcode address file showed that more than 50,000 UK streets and houses bear a name relating to Christmas.
King Street is the most popular festive-linked street name in the UK, alongside Ivy Cottage for houses. There are also over 7,600 addresses in the country bearing the term Holly.
In Belfast, street names with a Christmas-themed moniker included Bell Tower, Chestnut Gardens, Garland Avenue, Garland Crescent, Garland Green, Garland Park, Holly Mount, Joy Street and King Street.
