Nursery children have been celebrating the Queen’s birthday with their very own garden tea party. Pupils at The Old Vicarage and Hollingarth Nursery in Barrow have been tucking into scones and cucumber sandwiches in commemoration of the Queen turning 95. Both nurseries learned about the heritage of the Royal family and explored interest tables on Buckingham Place, the Household Cavalry, the Union flag and much more. NURSERIES have thrown themselves into learning about the Far East in celebration of the Chinese New Year. Pre-schoolers from Hollingarth and The Old Vicarage Day Nurseries in Barrow have been wishing their parents and the community ‘Kung Hei Fat Choi!’- a very happy Chinese New Year. The fun and games have been both enjoyable and educational for the children who have been developing their early years learning goals in ‘understanding the world’ and ‘British values’.
