A St Peter man and another from St James, were remanded to Dodds on Monday on their first appearance before the District ‘D’ Magistrates’ Court.Shaquille Stefon Gibbons, of Gays, St Peter, appeared before Acting Magistrate Deborah Beckles in connection with burglary and criminal damage charges.It is alleged that sometime between October 21 and 25, the 25-year-old, entered Alun Griffith’s house as a trespasser and stole four televisions, a PlayStation; 16 PlayStation games; a DVD player; five speakers; 19 bottles of body wash; 34 bottles of conditioner; four pairs of slippers; and a number of assorted tools. The items were valued at $13 682.Gibbons is also accused that during the same period he unlawfully and without excuse damaged Griffith’s car intending to damage such property or was reckless as to whether such property would be damaged.
Shawayne Deshawn Williams made his first appearance on drug charges in the District “A” Magistrates’ Court yesterday. The 27-year-old, of Mahaica Gap, Green Hill, St Michael, pleaded not guilty to possession of cannabis, having a traffickable quantity of the drug and possession of cannabis with intent to supply, on July 20.
