After an independent advisory council of the World Health Organization gave a nod to the Bharat Biotech's COVID-19 vaccine Covaxin for Emergency Use Listing (EUL), the US has also decided to allow travellers inoculated with this vaccine.
Covaxin, India s indigeneously developed coronavirus vaccine by Bharat Biotech, has been approved by the World Health Organisation (WHO). The technical advisory group of WHO on Wednesday recommended Emergency Use Listing status for Covaxin, according to PTI.
The Technical Advisory Group (TAG) on October 26 had sought additional clarifications from the company for Covaxin to conduct a final risk-benefit assessment for Emergency Use Listing of the vaccine.
