LONDON (AP) Britain will celebrate Queen Elizabeth II s 70 years on the throne with four days of festivities beginning with her ceremonial birthday parade on June 2, 2022.
Buckingham Palace on Wednesday announced the schedule of public events and community activities to mark the 95-year-old monarch s Platinum Jubilee, which will be celebrated over a special four-day holiday weekend next year.
Military aircraft operate from several bases in Norfolk and Suffolk, including the RAF s F35 Lightning IIs at RAF Marham, and US Air Force Strike Eagles at RAF Lakenheath.
Their presence in Norfolk skies has even been felt by the Queen when she is in residence at Sandringham.
The Queen visited the aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth in Portsmouth at the weekend ahead of an overseas deployment which will include the Marham-based jets.

Admiral Radakin said: China and Russia are responsible nations. I would expect them to behave responsibly. I do not expect the recklessness of the past or aggression from China when UK forces go about activity in a legal manner. We are behaving responsibly and we would expect others to behave responsibly too.
Last night Tobias Ellwood, Tory chairman of the Commons defence committee, criticised the remarks.
Highlighting China s attempts to cover up the Covid-19 outbreak and introduce draconian laws in Hong Kong, he said: [These] are not the actions of a responsible nation.

Hundreds of people lined the harbour walls to wave off the warship as it set off from Portsmouth Naval Base for the 28-week deployment by the Carrier Strike Group (CSG).
