campaign yesterday where senator elizabeth warren was getting the crowd riled up, chanting, no on the recall. and the newsome campaign really hitting home. they want democrats to skip the second question. they simply want to defeat the first question and keep their governor in office. what a fascinating system it is. the latest polling you have newsome who is above, well above 50% in many of the recent polls, but you never know what happens on voting day. does the vice-president have sway in california still? reporter: well, in the bay area especially, where voters are very active, the bay area has always been obviously a strong hold for newsome. he was the mayor of san francisco and you see kamala harris coming up through that bay area system. she s certainly going to excite a lot of people. the newsome campaign is being really savvy about who they are choosing to be in different parts of the state.
