Syracuse, N.Y. – No. 21 Clemson men’s soccer battled for 90 minutes against the defending national champion and 10th-ranked Syracuse Orange, earning a 1-1 draw on Sunday afternoon. The result moves the Tigers to 8-3-2 on the season, 3-2-1 in ACC play, and puts Clemson just three points behind Wake Forest atop the Atlantic Division standings. Senior Makenna Morris scored the lone-goal of the match as she passed the 50 career points mark in Durham. “Duke is never an easy game to play, especially on their home field but I thought we were in control for a good portion of the match especially in the first half. Clemson sophomore Tyler Trimnal and freshman Remi Okunlola both charted their first career starts, Okunlola also contributed his first career assist, and Shawn Smart tallied his first career goal.
