When city leaders voted to terminate its management and operating contract with Rippavilla historic site, one concern for many was whether previously scheduled events would still happen.
The worry includes one of Rippavilla s most-popular types of events often held every year during the spring and summer months weddings.
The city s contract with Rippavilla is set to expire in April, and during that time its board is seeking another entity to take the reigns in overseeing its annual operating and maintenance costs.
If no one is found, Rippavilla would be forced to close until further notice.
The concerns about whether scheduled events and booked weddings would still happen were brought before the Board of Mayor and Aldermen this week.
