The Moon (Hilal) Sighting Committees and religious authorities in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and also in the United Kingdom (UK) have issued appeals to Muslims in the respective countries to sight the crescent, Eid Moon or Eid Chand, Tuesday 29th Ramadan 1445 AH corresponding to April 09, 2024.
Moon sighting committees, Ruyat e Hilal Committees, have issued appeals to Muslims in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, United Kingdom (UK) and Singapore to sight the new moon of the Holy Month of Muharram al Haram today i.e. Tuesday 29th of Dhul Hijjah 1444 AH corresponding to July 18, 2023.
The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia and the Moon Sighting Committees in United Arab Emirate (UAE), Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq, Bahrain, Jordan and other Arab states have appealed Muslims to spot the new moon of the Holy month of Dhul Hijjah today i.e. Sunday 29th of Dhul Qadah 1444 AH corresponding to June 18, 2023 to confirm the date and time of Eid al Adha 2023 and Hajj 2023.
SRINAGAR, Mar 23: Waqf Board Chairperson Darakshan Andrabi on Thursday said that the board will constitute its own Hilal Committees and equip them with latest gadgets to avoid any confusion over sighting of the Crescent.
