Four Passengers Hurt in Van Crash near Rochester

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Four people were transported to St. Mary s hospital following a single-vehicle crash northeast of Rochester.
The State Patrol says a full-size van was traveling north on Highway 42 when it left the road and crashed into the right ditch. The crash occurred around 7 AM two miles north of the intersection with Olmsted County Road 9 in Viola Township.
All five occupants of the van are from Little Rock Arkansas. The driver, 22-year-old Noe Perez Cruz was not hurt, but his four passengers were all taken to the hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries. They ranged in age from 19 to 26 years old and were not wearing seatbelts. The driver was seatbelted and was also offered protection from injury by the vehicle s airbag.

PRAIRIEVILLE - There s a bit of a weather delay for a project that s been in the works for years.
The Hwy 42 construction project in Prairieville has been ongoing since 2017, and the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development reports that a change order went through providing an additional 105 calendar days to the contract. Weather is the main reason for the additional days as per the project contract.
Belinda Cook lives on Billy Boulevard and has been watching the project unfold.
