High tide expected around 9 the this morning with waves expected to be two to four feet higher than usual so preparing for low to moderate flooding here today and that was the case across our area yesterday. In areas luke Broad Channel queens when cars flooded out peoples basements flooding as well. On long island not as bad but quite a bit of ponding and some communities still rebuilding from superstorm sandy. It pushed in and all we could do was watch from the window. We needed help for a long time but it needs to get done as soon as possible. This cant happen every single time theres a major storm. People here on the jersey shore are hoping that what people in queens experienced yesterday wont be the situation for them here today. It keeps getting colder and you add some wind on top of it, a wind chill of eight below from boston down to plymouth. 6 beflow beverly. 8 below in nashua. 6 below in hyannis. Cold. In all, 15 car owners had one of those days, the damage to their windows totaled about 10,000. We heard a big bang and i looked out the window, i didnt see nothing. The drivers side window shot out with what Police Believe was a bb or pellet gun. The vehicles have a photo of that vehicle, so in time, hopefully this individual will be caught. The vandals gunfire also shattered windows on two businesses. The properties and cars damaged were in four separate communities. All hit in a few hours, late sunday night or early monday morning. Im angry. Its a hassle. A hassle paid for by insurance if drivers had glass coverage, but annoying them nonetheless. Again, all the damage thats still being teamed up by bb guns that police tell me are sold in Sporting Goods or other stores to anyone whos 16 years of age or older. Were live in levittown tonight. Police are hoping the public can help identify this man, he stole 100 from a woman last month. It happened february 18th about 6 30 in the evening
