Blairs Fire and Rescue responded to a report of the structure fire at 600 North Pointe Lane Saturday.
First unit arrived to find heavy fire and smoke showing from the third floor apartments. An attack was made into the apartments and the fire was brought under control in approximately one hour.
There was extensive fire and water damage to several apartments.
The Red Cross was called in to assist families with relocation. Blairs EMS treated two patients for smoke inhalation and transported one to SOVAH of Danville in stable condition.Â
Blairs responded with two engines, a command vehicle and two ambulances.

It was just before 2PM Saturday, when Firefighters from Bangor s Central Station, Station 5 and Station 6 were sent out to a multi-unit apartment building that had caught fire at 625 Finson Rd. Ronnie and his wife, Teresa, acted through the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church to offer a helping hand to those suffering from power outages, food shortage and water cutoffs.
Mt. Hermon Baptist Church sent out an email to its members for a volunteer opportunity, which intrigued the couple. They saw one of the two-hour shifts was open Thursday night and jumped on it.
