Two farmers have narrated how they escaped the onslaught of armed herdsmen at Dagbere village, Ayete, in the Ibarapa North Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The farmers, who spoke in a video obtained by our correspondent on Sunday, said they were going to the farm when the men ambushed and opened fire on them.
The two siblings said despite the shots, they managed to escape.
One of them showed bullet marks on his body.
He said, “We were going to the farm at Dagbere in the afternoon. I was on a motorcycle with my brother and on our way to the village, we saw logs of wood on the road. I jumped down from the motorcycle to roll them away so that we could pass, but they started shooting us. They opened fire on two of us and shot us many times. We saw them; they are Fulani (Bororo).
