An Aboriginal man has died in rural New South Wales after being tasered and pepper sprayed by police.
New South Wales police have declared it a critical incident with homicide detectives from the state Crime Command investigating.
In a statement, police said two officers were were called to a home in Herbert Street Gunnedah in the state s north-east last night due to concerns about the behaviour of the man. Police will allege the man became aggressive when officers attempted to speak with him, it read. OC spray and a Taser were deployed during a struggle with the man before he lost consciousness.
