Portland, MAINE Governor Janet Mills today toured two ongoing construction projects in Portland that will improve the City’s wastewater infrastructure and the environmental health of Back Cove and Casco Bay.
During her visit to Back Cove West Storage Conduit and the Back Cove South Storage Facility, Governor Mills highlighted the importance of careers in the construction industry and investments in infrastructure for Maine people, noting a $25 million investment in water infrastructure upgrades and improvements through the Maine Jobs and Recovery Plan.

Billy Crystal, now 73, is hardly sitting on his already impressive laurels. On the heels of a well-received indie film “Standing Up, Falling Down” in February, Crystal co-stars in a new comedy with Tiffany Haddish, “Here Today.” Crystal plays a successful veteran comedy writer Charlie Burns suffering from early-onset dementia who starts an unlikely friendship with a free-spirited New York City street singer Emma Payge (Haddish). Crystal, in a recent interview with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, said he and the film’s co-creator and former “Saturday Night Live” scribe Alan Zweibel finished shooting the film before the pandemic began but resisted the temptation to place it on a streaming service.
