In December, the Township Committee unanimously adopted a redevelopment plan for the Mavrode property on Route 202/31 in the south end of the township that called for the construction of a 260,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution center.
The 17.88-acre property was originally developed as a golf driving range which closed in 2009, but most recently has been used as a storage area for used cars from local car dealers. The property has also hosted a boxing club, a drone facility and a family entertainment center.
The Mavrode property backs to the Black River and Western Railroad.
No formal application for the development has been submitted.
