Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren alleged that a conspiracy was hatched against him after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) interrogated him in a money laundering case for more than seven hours on Saturday.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal skipped three summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with excise policy case. Meanwhile, Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren skipped seven summons by the ED in a different case.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday filed a petition in the Jharkhand High Court challenging issuance of summons to him by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a case of alleged money laundering, his counsel said.
Hemant Soren has been in the eye of the storm over reports of a mining plot in Angarha leased in his name. The lease was granted in favour of the chief minister in his individual capacity while he held the portfolio of the mines department.
The financial probe agency, which is probing the case, had summoned Hemant Soren to its Ranchi office for questioning in connection with the illegal mining case.
