Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has filed a plea with the Supreme Court, claiming that the high court has yet to deliver a verdict on his challenge against arrest by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case. Senior advocate Kapil Sibal, representing Soren, informed the bench that the high court reserved its decision on February 28 but has not yet issued a judgment.

A special PMLA court extended the Enforcement Directorate (ED) remand of former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren by five days in a money laundering case related to an alleged land scam. Soren, arrested on January 31 and resigned as chief minister, faces charges in connection with a money laundering investigation by the ED.
