I, as Leo Robin s grandson , am compelled by the recent announcement and the events that have taken place over the course of 30 years to request that you redress the moral wrong committed against lyricist Leo Robin by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the Walk of Fame Committees (2018 - 2020). Leo Robin Music was outraged by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce s recent announcement to once again deny the installation of the star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame that was awarded to Leo Robin more than 30 years ago. The Hollywood Chamber as well as the Walk of Fame Committee continue to be morally adrift in regard to this unprecedented situation with the star awarded to Leo Robin but not installed. And they must recognize that they bear responsibility for this on-going moral injustice and take the steps to address it.

Photos: EFDC/Unsplash The chairman of Epping Forest District Council has warned against holocaust denial and anti-Semitic conspiracies spreading on social media. To mark Holocaust Memorial Day today (January 27) the council civic offices have been illuminated with purple lights to show its support with this year’s theme ‘be the light in the darkness’. The Holocaust was the Second World War genocide of Jews, homosexuals, gypsies and the disabled between 1941 and 1945 across Nazi-occupied Europe. Around six million Jewish people were killed in pogroms, mass shootings, concentration and work camps, and gas chambers.

Upon the release of his masterpiece “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” in 1937, Disney objected to a journalist describing his film as a “cartoon.” “It’s no more a cartoon,” Disney said, “than a painting by Whistler is a cartoon.” In an exhaustive and highly entertaining new book, journalist Reid Mitenbuler demonstrates that he shares Disney’s belief in the artistic value of animated works – though they are, too often, thought of as mere kids’ stuff.
