Four shooters in race for Olympics wild-card entry

The country’s four leading shooters Abdullah Hel Baki, Shakil Ahmed, Risalatul Islam and Sayeda Atkia Hasan Disha are in the race for Olympics wild-card entries.
The Olympic Games Tripartite Commission will provide the wild-card for Bangladeshi shooters to the National Olympics Committee, but it is yet to be decided whether the card will come in the name of the country or the name of the shooter.
However, Bangladesh Olympics Association asked for information on four shooters, their arms, and ammunition to the shooting federation.
It is assumed the card will be provided in the name of the country instead of a particular shooter and NOC will finalise one among these four shooters.

A 10-member Bangladesh shooting team including seven shooters and three officials reached the Indian capital New Delhi to play in the International Shooting Sport Federation World Cup, scheduled to be held on March 18 to 29 at the Dr Karni Singh Range.
Abdullah Hel Baki and Rabbi Hasan Munna will compete in the men’s rifle event while Sayeda Atkia Hasan Disha, Farbin Chowdhury Rithika and Sharmin Akter Ratna will take part in the women’s rifle events.
Shakil Ahmed will play in the men’s pistol and Armin Asha will compete in the women’s pistol events during the two-day tournament, which starts today.
