Mumbai: The Search and Rescue (SAR) operations to locate and bring to safety the 390 missing persons off Mumbai coast in the Arabian Sea was on till late night on Tuesday. Till Tuesday evening the Indian Navy and Coast Guard had rescued 317 people on board two barges that went adrift. At least seven people were killed in Gujarat as Cyclone Tauktae battered parts of the state.

Mumbai: The Navy said its personnel, battling extreme weather, have rescued 184 of the 273 people onboard Barge P305 so far, adding all personnel on board. Two other barges and an oil rig are safe after Cyclone Tauktae rendered these vessels adrift.
“As of Wednesday morning, 184 personnel of barge P305 have been rescued and INS Kochi and INS Kolkata are returning to Mumbai harbour with the rescuees.”

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 19 (ANI): As many as 186 survivors rescued and 26 bodies have been recovered from barge P305 which sank in the Arabian Sea 35 nautical miles from Mumbai under the impact of cyclone Tauktae, informed the Indian Navy on Wednesday.
