Step Two of the Leeds Flood Alleviation Scheme Phase 2 would include a Flood Storage Reservoir, with plant and machinery, and flood defences to include walls, sheet piling, earth bunds, scour protection and associated access, landscaping, demolition, building and construction works. The granting of planning permission does not affect owners’ rights to retain or dispose of their property, unless there is some provision to the contrary in an agreement or in a lease.

A NUMBER of Bradford roads are to be closed in the coming weeks as part of ongoing, £30 million development works. Northern Powergrid has been improving the reliability and resilience of the electricity network serving Bradford as part of this multi-million pound project since September 2019. The works, which will continue until the end of 2022, involve excavating in the road to lay a total of 132km (around 82 miles) of new underground electricity cables. This has a route length of 17km (10.5 miles). The energy supplier has confirmed the dates for the next sections of development. The roadworks will mainly be in the Queen s Road, King s Road, Canal Road and Manningham Road areas.
