While we were being moved up the stairwells, on the third floor, heard five or six rifle shots go afternoon from outside. Rapid fire. Three patients with gunshot wounds treated at a local hospital. We do not know their condition. Students report hearing the gunfire from Strozier Library and receiving a police alert telling them to seek shelter and stay away from doors and windows.
