The state reported nearly 11,000 diagnosed cases today, the highest since early august. The Positivity Rate continues to rise with the 14day rate jumping to 4. 4 . It was 4 on friday. That number is a strong indicator of the transmission rate of the virus. Nearly 3700 people are in the hospital getting treated for covid19 and about 1000 of them are in the icu. Now, the spike in covid cases is increasing the demand for testing right here in the bay area. But some testing sites are reaching capacity.
