But its hard to imagine the City Attorneys Office without buck. Its not arguably the best municipal law Officials Office in the country its because of the caliber of the folks. You know, the fact you have people like vince who will soon be going to washington, d. C. And vince im happy to help out. But i want to say to buck is i really appreciate everything youve done. You understand the charter and the codes better than anyone and i know that perhaps as a former Deputy Attorney i know that when i hear advise from you its as sound as it gets. I know that the City Attorneys Office will not be the same without you but i hope you continue to, you know, stay in touch. I think the entire building will not be the same without you. As a san franciscan i want to say god supposed to you supervisor avalos. Wait buck isnt retiring is he. Wed be lost without him. Buck congratulations on receiving this award. I started working in january 2005. If they want to give you an award for telling us what we
Windows as they come off onto the marcadaro. They supported the housing and we supported the 120 percent ami proposal. We werent given an opportunity to reviews the proposal, but you we understand that its a compromise and i think what it does reflect is the very great difficulty of building any kind of moderate Income Housing because there are no subsidies and as you move forward with your policy discussions, low income, very low income, there are places to go for money, and we know we need this moderate level of housing, but its a balance. How do we get it without the subsidies that are given to the lower income people ask thats how we get all the low Income Housing built. As you move forward with your discussions, please consider this. Thank you. Thank you. Are there any other members of the public who wish to speak on this item. Seeing none. Of housing were producing in district 6. Only 29 percent of these Housing Units were affordable. The current sale price that were seeing is 800,000 and the medium for one bedroom is 3,000. Its beyond the reach of our most residents. They access housing through the Affordable Housing programming, are there only buyable housing approach. We have the income character of our district. District has the highest number under the poverty line. The city wide average is 13 percent. We also have the lowest household average income at roughly 38,000, but were finding in district 6 is we have many low income or high income households. 56 percent of our residents live where the house come is less than 50 percent of San Francisco ami and the rest lives in the track where the income is from 122 percent to 166 percent of the area income. We clearly need to grow housing for the middle in our district. Our third goal to encourage the deployment of resources and policies to insure were meeting a baseline
