Hyderabad, May 13 : This is another heartbreaking story of a Covid warrior. A young lady doctor lost her battle to the deadly virus barely a week after delivering a baby.
Dr. Farha Niloufer, 31, succumbed to the virus at Princess Esra Hospital in the old city of Hyderabad on Wednesday.
The pediatrician, who was serving at government-run Area Hospital in Gajwel, continued working during the pandemic and did not avail maternity leave despite suggestions from her friends and colleagues.

Health workers under the age of 45 are outraged at being denied slot bookings.
Officials from the Department of Health Department issued a circular allowing healthcare workers for walk-in vaccinations.
Hyderabad: Hundreds of government healthcare workers are furious because they are unable to book slots for Covid-19 vaccinations. The current system of booking vaccination slots on the cowin.gov.in website and is only open to people over the age of 45.
Many doctors, especially postgraduate students, interns, and nurses working in the state-run Covid-19 hospitals, claim they are unable to schedule appointments.

Several doctors working in various government hospitals who spoke to this correspondent said it was not just common people who had to spend hours in front of a computer to try and find a slot for registering for vaccination. AP
Hyderabad: Hundreds of healthcare workers in government hospitals are severely upset over not being able to book slots for getting themselves vaccinated against Covid-19. The current system of booking vaccination slots on the cowin.gov.in website is restricted to those above 45 years. Doctors say many of them, especially postgraduate students, interns and nurses working in the state-run Covid-19 hospitals are not able to book slots.
