Govt trying to restrict business activities due to Coronavirus: Taimur
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Health Taimur Saleem Jhagra says the government is trying to restrict business activities to the minimum due to Coronavirus and lockdown.
Responding to a call attention notice in provincial assembly session in Peshawar today (Monday), he said the government is compelled to take strict actions in implementing COVID-19 SOPs in the province to protect the lives of people from this pandemic.
Responding to a point of order, provincial minister for local government and law Akbar Ayub Khan said the provincial government is planning to build Gandhara City near Peshawar.

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has decided to cover liver and bone marrow transplants under Sehat Card Plus Scheme in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The decision was made with the view to provide free treatment facilities to the people and to make the Sehat Card Plus Scheme a comprehensive package of social health protection.
An official handout said the chief minister was chairing a meeting to discuss various matters to improve the health coverage under Sehat Card Plus Scheme.
Provincial Minister for Health Taimur Saleem Jhagra, Chairman State Life Insurance Corporation Shoaib Hussain, Secretary Health Imtiaz Hussain and others attended the meeting.

The decision was taken to provide free treatment facilities to the people under the scheme.
The meeting decides to put in place a third-party monitoring mechanism for all the activities under the scheme.

PESHAWAR: As many as 635 people were arrested and action was taken against over 21,483 others for violation of corona-related standing operation procedures (SOPs) in the provincial capital.
The action was taken mostly in public transport as well as bus stands across the provincial capital.
“Apart from arresting 635 people in different areas, the police have impounded 233 public transport vehicles for violation of the Covid-19 SOPs,” Abbas Majeed Marwat, the chief traffic officer, told The News.
He added the actions were underway across the provincial capital to check violations of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by the government to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
